Come along to our volunteer day at Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve.

Volunteers will be given the opportunity to get involved in practical conservation tasks and ecological surveys as part of our Nature Improvement Area project.

You don't need any prior experience in conservation as training will be given by our staff. All tools and equipment are provided as well as refreshments but please bring your own lunch. Volunteers are advised to wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear (walking boots, wellington boots or ideally steel-toe capped boots). Please note there are no toilets on site.

We will meet outside of the gates to the Wolverhampton Environmental Centre which is near the path of the South Staffordshire railway walk. The meeting point is located in a residential area if travelling by car please park responsibly.

If you would like to attend the volunteer day  contact Natalie Norton, Natalie.N@bbcwildlife.org.uk so that we can bring enough tools and equipment for the group.
