Smestow Valley, Barley Field - NIA Volunteer Day
20 April 2017 - 10:30am - 3:00pm
Come along to our volunteer day at Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve.
Volunteers will be given the opportunity to get involved in practical conservation tasks and ecological surveys as part of our Nature Improvement Area Project.
You don't need any prior experience in conservation as training will be given by our staff. All tools and equipment are provided as well as refreshements but bring your own lunch. Volunteers are advised to wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear (walking boots, wellington boots or ideally steel toe capped boots). Please note there are no toilets on site.
Compton hill drive is a residential area so please park at the Ranger's Station where parking is available.
If you would like to attend the volunteer day contact Natalie Norton, Natalie.N@bbcwildlife.org.uk so that we can bring enough tools and equipment for the group.
Meet at the car park at the Ranger's Station off Meadow View (accessed from the A41/B4161),
