Event details

29 April 2017 - 10:00am - 3:00pm

Join us for this introduction to identifying common birds. The day involves a brief classroom session where you will learn about the anatomy of birds, a vital part of identifying them, as well as learning the key ID features of several common species. We will also listen to some bird song, helping us to pick out the species skulking in the thicker vegetation. After lunch we will walk onto the farm in the afternoon to put the theory into practice.

This course will focus on common passerine birds, such as finches, warblers, thrushes, etc. Due to time constraints we won’t be able to cover waterfowl, waders and gulls during this course.
