Have you ever wondered why birds do what they do? Would you like to be able to tell the difference between a Swallow and a House Martin, or a Dunnock and a House Sparrow?
Come on this training course with Ailsa Claybourn to Learn how to identify birds by their appearance and behaviour, and find out what makes a bird a bird.
There will be an indoor session followed by an afternoon walk around the Nature Discovery Centre, looking at a range of habitats and practising identification skills.
The course aims are to:

- Show how to use field markings, size, “jizz”, behaviour and flight patterns to identify birds
- Illustrate the link between habitats and birds
- Demonstrate bird ringing and its importance
There is an option to see a bird ringing demonstration at 9am. Please indicate when booking if you would like to attend.
Full details and directions will be emailed with your booking. Please Note: booking for this course will close at 5pm on Wednesday 26th April
