Event details

30 April 2017 - 10:00am - 4:00pm

Explore this beautiful reserve with local ornithologist Paul Holness, and learn to observe and identify the great variety of birdlife, particularly spring migrants.

You will learn how to identify visiting bird populations as well as resident birds in the varied habitats of this reserve, with popular local birder Paul Holness. The early migrants which visit Lackford Lakes boost species numbers even more and it really is a great time to get out and appreciate the wealth of birdlife on our doorstep. Suitable for beginners/less experienced.

Please bring binoculars if you have them although some will be available to borrow from the centre.

Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable warm, weatherproof clothing and stout footwear. It may be muddy.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided and are included in the price, but as much of the time will be spent out on the Reserve, please bring any extra drinks and snacks you may require when away from the Centre.
