Watercolour Painting Workshop with Richard Bavin FULLY BOOKED
Bluebells at Queenswood II - Richard Bavin
2 May 2017 - 10:00am - 4:30pm
Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s artist in residence, Richard Bavin, will give a workshop in watercolour painting, taking inspiration from the beautiful grounds of Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum. This workshop is aimed at people with some experience of watercolour.
Participants will work outdoors in the morning, making rapid watercolour sketches to capture form, colour and light. In the afternoon we will set up in the Jubilee Building to create large, expressive watercolours with the help ofboth memory and the morning sketches.
Participants are encouraged to bring a smart phone, tablet or similar device to capture supplementary photographic references – this also highlights the shortcomings of photographs and shows the value of making a painting!
Participants are required to bring their own paints, brushes and paper. A suggested basic list with local and online art material stockists will be available upon booking.
The cost is £55 per person and booking is essential - please use the form below or call 01432 356872. This is a fundraising event for Herefordshire Wildlife Trust.
