Turn wildlife detective to learn how to spot the tell-tale signs of illusive wildlife, whether in woodland, by the water’s edge or on grassland. Learn about the ecology of illusive animals and where they live and feed, then put the training into practice on an Essex Wildlife Trust nature reserve. This course is run by Darren Tansley, Water for Wildlife Officer at Essex Wildlife Trust and Chairman of the UK Water Vole Steering Group. The course donation fee includes a 'Mammal Tracks & Signs' fold out chart.

Tea, coffee & biscuits will be provided and are included in the donation fee. Please bring your own lunch and other refreshments if you wish.

What to bring
• Sturdy footwear suitable for potentially muddy conditions (walking boots or Wellingtons) and clothes suitable for the day’s weather conditions as we will go outside whatever the weather.
• As we will finish at 14.00 you are advised to bring a packed lunch.
• OPTIONAL Notepad and pen for taking notes.
• OPTIONAL (but useful) Binoculars, handlens and camera.
