We are working hard at Parc Slip Nature Reserve to improve the habitat for Lapwing, a bird that has been in decline across the UK, and we need your help!

Join us for weekly practical habitat management of the nature reserve where we will be cutting back scrub and creating new habitat features for Lapwing.

Volunteer with us as a Lapwing Champion to gain:

  • Practical experience of habitat management to enhance your CV
  • Official certificates presented to Lapwing Champions who complete more than 5 work parties
  • Enjoyable days working with like minded people to help conserve the Lapwing

Meeting place:Outside Parc Slip Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre.

Clothing Requirements:Sturdy and waterproof footwear (wellies or waterproof boots) and weather appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. It is advisable to bring waterproof trousers.

Equipment and biscuits provided!

Accessibility and Conditions:Please be aware that the terrain is difficult to navigate and you must therefore be quite mobile to be able to access it.
